Widgets won't move

  1. Hi. I've been playing around with different themes for my blog. And so I've been altering the widgets when I change the theme. I found the theme I wanted, and then I discovered putting blogs into categories. So I created 2 more categories, and then went to the widgets page to add them on. But it wouldn't let me remove any of the widgets or add any more on. Also the drop down arrows at the side of each widget don't work. I thought maybe it was just this theme, so I tried a different one, and then a different one....the same thing happens. It's like that page is frozen and I can't alter anything.
I wish I hadn't started altering it now because my picture has gone and I can't get it back.
Has anyone come across this before?
    Please help if you can.
    Thanks
    Emma.

The blog I need help with is emmawinstanley.wordpress.com.

  2. 1. Try this first > log out of wordpress.com, clear your browser cache and cookies and log-in again. Browser specific instructions here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

    2. You can use this link to see if your flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

    3. Try this too > If you need a more accessible way to add widgets, click Screen Options -> Enable accessibility mode to turn off the drag and drop feature. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-accessibility-mode

If those work then you will need to contact Staff and provide them with all your details. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

  3. thanks for that. It's working again now, but if it goes funny again i'll try those.

  4. Well that's great news. Thanks for updating the thread and best wishes for happy blogging. :)
