I was ready to purchase a $99 package and found that I can't map my .pro domain. I have other domains but was hoping to use this one as I am a retired educator/nonprofit founder and the domain name was a great match.
Will WordPress.com allow .pro domains in the future?

Hi,
If the domain name is already registered, you can include it in your bundle! I have created the required Zone record in our system, since you have already pointed the domain's nameservers to our nameservers. All you need to do now is purchase the bundle, and once you've done that, you can add the domain to your site here:

I have some mp3 files that are tutorials for using android and iOS apps to help kids academically prosper who have ADHD , etc....
I'm removing old links off of these mp3s and their associated blog posts, and then uploading the revised mp3 files again into the blog posts.
Is this all I need to do before exporting out of wordpress.org into the new "howtoread.pro" within wordpress.com? I heard from the guys at BeAutomated that media file export-import could be tricky so I wanted to run this by you before doing it.

You can create an export file from your self-hosted site, and then import it into your WordPress.com site. Have a look at these instructions:

If the media files are large, however, the import might not work. Try it, and if you have issues let me know.

Could you please check my blog's files? After spending many days preparing my wordpress.org blog to follow all the advice of the wordpress.com codex, I guess that I did not consider "everything".
The first time I imported, the theme I chose displayed all of the "excerpts" of the blog posts. My excerpts were dry and more like media descriptions than blog excerpts- my mistake- so I went back into the wordpress.org blog, deleted all 15 post excerpts, and then exported the .org blog again.
I then when back into the wordpress.com blog, deleted all content by hand, and then tried to re-install a "fresh" install of the renewed posts, which didn't work.
At this point there is only half-imported content. I'm sorry after my efforts to "do this right" if I've caused you more work.
