Will WP delete my old posts?

  1. Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong forum, but I have searched and can't find any similar topics.

My question is simple: Will WordPress.com ever delete an old post from my blog? In other words, if I made a post that is now several years old, will WP eventually delete it?

My guess is that WP only deletes an old post if I go over my storage limit, but I didn't know if that was accurate.

(If I have to go over my storage limit, then I am okay for now, as I have apparently only used 1.47 MB of my storage).

The blog I need help with is onepointsafety.com.

    No

Storage limits only apply to media (pictures and other files) - text is FREE!

If you go over your 3 GB limit all that happens is you can't upload new pictures etc. - but you can then buy a space upgrade if you want to put more media (pictures etc) on your site

  3. Thanks....I appreciate the help.

However, this leads me to a second question. On my blogs Dashboard, there is a box in the upper left corner of the screen (to the right of the left hand navigation bar) that is titled "Right Now."

This box shows my post number, comment numbers, number of spam messages, etc.

The very last thing in this box is a section called "Storage Space." It says I have 3,072 MB Allowed and have used 1.48 MB or (0%).

What is that referring too? If it refers to media...that is fine, but like you said, I thought the media storage was only 3 MB .... not 3,000 MB!!
