Woo themes

  1. I am starting a wordpress page and I downloaded a theme from Woothemes...It is now a zip folder on my computer. How do I add that to WordPress to use as my theme?

The blog I need help with is randtvdotcom.wordpress.com.

  2. If you are talking about a blog hosted here at wordpress.COM such as the one linked to your username, http://randtv.wordpress.com/ , we cannot add themes at wordpress.COM. We are limited to the themes found in the dashboard under appearance > themes. Themes found on the internet are for self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

If you have CSS editing experience, you can get the CSS upgrade, which will allow you to stylize the themes here, but it does not allow you to change the functionality (nor upload themes). CSS is also themes specific so you cannot use the CSS from one theme with another theme. Before buying the upgrade, you can go to appearance > edit CSS and wordpress has provided a preview function where you can try out changes before you buy the upgrade.

  3. Woothemes have also produced some free and premium themes for wordpress.com, so if you like their work you do have these options.

    http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/themorningafter/
