Hi - Could you please help tell me what happened to my 650+ followers? They dissappeared over night and I don't know how or where they went to. Could you please look into this for me?

The bloggers who subscribed to your blog subscribed to the URL. The page rank and authority and all links below to the original URL but you changed the URL.

Did you make any changes to the site shiftstorm.wordpress.com before the follower number changed? Did you change the site address, or do anything else like that?
