Wordpress Freshly Pressed

    Hi folks!

    I'm planning on publishing a blog for Monday. But out of sheer curiosity, how does WordPress decide with blogs get featured on the "Freshly Pressed"/Wordpress.com homepage? Do I have to submit my blog, or is it all at random?

    Neither. It's one editor who chooses what to feature.

    That is a great article! Thanks a lot for that information. I'll definitely be looking further into it.
    Until then, I posted my blog I *hoped* to get freshly pressed.

    Coincidently, by posting it today, I've never had so many blog views in one day due to its interesting content.

    Remember to concentrate on writing good, long-form, content -- and the readers and the search index hits and, perhaps, even Freshly Pressed -- will all follow in time.
