Wordpress Slideshow

    Hi there

I'm new to WordPress (have used a few other CMS systems), and have nearly finished my site. It took a while to work out that different themes allow you to do different things! One thing I would like to do is to extend the height of the slideshow, I have put captions into my slideshow but they are shown over the photos. I have tried a gallery but I don't particularly like the look of the gallery when it opens as I can't find out how to change that either, there doesn't appear to be any setting for this.

Is it possible for me to get into the HTML of the site?

The link to my page with the slideshow (and gallery underneath) is:

Any help you can give me would be great.

    Thankyou

That's not possile as this is a multiuser blogging platform and only Staff can access those files. There is no FTP access to our blogs and we cannot install plugins. See here > WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    These may be helpful:

You can add a caption to each image, and the slideshow will automatically display the caption below the image. You can add captions to your images by editing your images in the Media Library.
You can't edit captions directly, but it is possible:

How do I adjust the size of a slideshow?
Slideshows are set to fill up the full content width of your theme. Resizing them is not currently possible but if you try different themes you will find that the size of slideshows varies. http://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshows/#additional-information

I'll leave it to other volunteers to chime in with their answers to your slideshow questions.
