   Hi Everyone

   I am a complete newbie at all of this so sorry for the silly questions. I am in the process or registering my domain name and etting up my hosting. Can anyone please tell me how i can transfer my wordpress blog to a website, using my independent domain and web hosting options? Also can anyone reccommend any good wordpress ecommerce templates? I would also like to know if an ecommerce template can be added in later or if I need to add it at the start even if I do not use it? Any other tips on setting up a website would be apprerciated.

   We can't answer questions about ecommerce, because we can't do that here. For independently hosted blogs, support is at WordPress.ORG, so check over there for advice.

   As for the transfer you can either do it yourself or buy the Guided Transfer option. To do it yourself, go to Tools->export and export this blog and media, all of it. Then on the dashboard of your new blog, go to Tools->Import and import it. Once you've checked to see it works, set the blog here, the old one, to Private.
