   Our intention is to start with a wordpress.com pro bundle and at some point pay for a guided transfer to a hosted site.

   What will and won't transfer from our wordpress.com site?

   Basically, we are wanting to have a transparent move and once complete, will upgrade the new site accordingly.

   1. Will the wordpress.com basic themes be able to be transferred?
   2. Is it correct that custom design settings and premium themes are not able to be moved? What other design selection constraints do we need to know about so that we are not stuck.
   3. Will plugins available on wordpress.com be able to be transferred to the new site?

   Thank you for your advise on this matter. It might be useful to integrate this response on your website so people who are making longer range plans such as this can plan accordingly when they set up their wordpress.com account.

   1: Yes, we'll be happy to install a theme for you as part of the Guided Transfer, but please note that you will need to configure it yourself. You can do an Internet search to find a theme that suits you. Some great free themes are listed here: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/

   2: Premium themes purchased at WordPress.com are only valid here at WordPress.com.

   3: We'll install Jetpack and a few other plugins to provide features that you have been using on WordPress.com.
