wordpress.org blog as contributor to wordpress.com

I have a new wordpress.com blog and I want to add a blog from wordpress.org as a contributor. When I invited the blogger via his email it defaulted to an old wordpress.com blog that was registered to the same email as the wordpress.org blog. The potential contributor has deleted his old wordpress.com blog but his email adress still shows up in the account. When I try to invite him again it still shows up as inviting him as a contributor with the deleted blog. Is there a way I can add him as a contributor with his wordpress.org blog?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is carolinaquarterhorse.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are two completely different systems. They don't share the same username and password. Also, when adding a contributor, you are adding a user, not a blog.

This being said, a WordPress.ORG blogger can have a WordPress.COM account. And to my knowledge, even if the friend in question deleted their blog, you can still add them as a contributor, provided you use the same email address they have on their WP.com account.
