Words are put into italics when proceeded by or followed by an ellipse

  1. When writing a new post or page and writing an ellipse, the words then appear as italics when published.

Any reason as to why? The them is "2012."

    Thanks all!

The blog I need help with is fashainable.com.

  2. You could try clicking the italics on your words and clicking again to disable it. If I copy and paste bold words, I have to use this method.

  3. Thank you for the tip! I actually mis-typed & meant to say that the font changes when there's an ellipse in the phrase.. If you have a second, my page titled "Get Dressed" has examples of that; it's odd!

This thread will be moved to the Themes Forum where Themes Staff will address the bug report your have made.

  5. Thank you!

  6. Hi there,

It seems like there are some extra html tags in your content area. Are you copying and pasting this content from another program, such as Microsoft Word?

  7. @fashainable
Just in case is copying and pasting from Microsoft WORD or elsewhere I'm posting this here.

Microsoft Word is a word processing program that’s not compliant with web standards. The result of copy and pasting from Microsoft Word into the Tiny MCE editor in WordPress blogs can be unexpected, unless you know how to use the built-in features in the Visual editor for using Word cleanly. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text

"is" was meant to be "you are"

ah, yes, that's probably it eh? should i delete the page & re-publish it after re-writing it in WP itself?
    thanks all!

  10. I've gone ahead and edited out the extra HTML tags in the "Get Dressed" post.

In the future, I'd recommend creating posts directly in WordPress, but if you do continue to use Microsoft Word, I'd suggest following the instructions under "Using Word Cleanly" on the following page.

Let us know if you have any questions!

  11. Or, if you like Word, use Windows Live Writer, which is free, works similarly, and also allows you to include titles, formatting, tags and categories, and insert images.

  12. appreciate it! thanks!
