WP Blog Directory

  1. Maybe instead of just relying on gravatars and tags to find other blogs, there could be a blog directory, much like DMOZ.

One would have to register their WP blog with the directory, maybe tying it in to a specific type or genre, through dropdown lists. A user, then, would be able to browse for blogs of a certain type.

The blog I need help with is dailyawesimity.wordpress.com.

  2. Bloggers come and bloggers go. Most blogs are abandoned within a year of being registered. Few blog fit neatly into topics. Keeping up a registry in terms of keeping it current and spam free is such a non-productive enterprise that most blog directories have gone the way of the do-do bird. They aren't the traffic generators they were many years ago. Social media has replaced them by and large. Following Topics (tags and Categories) is more productive. http://wordpress.com/#!/read/topics/
