WP "flips" image on uploading

  1. Hi, I'm trying to load a portrait image of a wine bottle. Each time I drop the image onto the Add Media window, it immediately flips to an horizontal position so that the bottle is on its side. I've searched all the appropriate help resources and they all say I should find an edit button once it has finished crunching. But I can find nothing to flip it back again.
    Thanks

The blog I need help with is living-in-the-loire.com.

  2. Hi there,

If you go to your Media Library, you can click on the desired image and select the "edit" button underneath the thumbnail (see last screenshot in previous link).

You will then have access to the full suite of image editing tools we support, one of them being control over the image's rotation.

  3. Thanks a lot. i "get it" now. I was trying to edit it from the Media Lib. window which appears when you try to "insert" an image and the edit doesn't work from there.

  4. Excellent. The media uploader has recently changed indeed, but the edit button should work from there too. It ultimately leads to the same screen though, so either should work.

    Best regards.

  5. Hi Stephdau,
Just for information. If you click on insert media and then on the media lib. and then on a thumbnail. You get an edit button at the bottom of the gallery but the available edits are very limited. File names, captions that sort of thing.
    Merci
