The video 'preview' in media library plays beautifully. However, I have followed your instruction and can't get the video to play in the post. Immediately after it was published, it played a few seconds and then no more. Have updated many times and tried on iMac / safari as well as PC / Firefox.

I can help you now. I know that for the past 24hours you have been obsessed with trying to get the videopress videos to work. No one responded to your cry for help? Well, I figured out. It wasn't easy. However, here is what they failed to mention. You must go to the 'dashboard', - go to 'settings', - go to 'media' (in the settings group), on the media settings page, look for these words: "Only display videos in free software formats". UN-check the box next to this phrase. Make sure this box is NOT checked. Refresh everything. Wait a minute or two for things to process. Your videos should play beautifully now!

I followed these instructions but that box was not even checked in the first place in my setting. The videos on my site upload fine and play back the audio just fine but the screen stays black, there is no visual. How do I correct this. I have an active Value Bundle with Word Press and running on Windows 8.

Didn't mean to stir anything up but after browsing several other blogs and finding their videos have the same issue I feel like the problem needs some serious attention, especially for paying customers of Word Press. At least a dedicated trouble shooter for video issues - then we would not feel the need to double park in forums. I just want to fix the problem.

I just viewed http://horrorpcgaming.com/horror-games/ and it works properly in Firefox 19. I'll tag this thread for Staff assistance. In the meanwhile please try troubleshooting and provide reports on what follows so Staff are clearly aware what your computing environment is?

1. Try clearing your browser’s cache:

3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

I will check all of these things but I am curious about one thing. Why do videos that will play from any source I choose on the browser I am using not play when uploaded to a word press site? Seems a little odd.
My bad on the response, there are only two videos on my site at the moment and neither of them played for me. The one you have the link for is one of them.
Just checked and I am running IE 10. This is also on the list at browse happy. I did all four of the items listed in your post and the videos will still not play visuals.
I took a look and everything is working properly. Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?

As you can see the video is 53 sec in and no visual. I can scroll through the whole video with same results. If I hold the left mouse button down over the timer it will show that seen on the screen but freezes the video. Not sure what is going on or how to fix it.
I am not interested in the least in switching through different browsers just to play video here. IE works fine with video everywhere and switching browsers always leads into new problems.
The video works fine on your blog so testing a different browser is just to rule out it's an IE issue. Have you tried to see if you can encounter the same issue on a different computer? or on a different connection?
