+I read somewhere how to create a footnote, a small lower case number at the end of a sentence, but can't remember. Can you please guide me.

I went to those two places----way over my head-----so complicated, I didn't understand anything. There must be a simple technique to place a number, of a smaller font, or is that limited by theme?

There is no simple technique like you have in a word processing program.

You could try using Microsoft WORD to create the document and then use Windows Live writer to upload it into your blog.

P.S. This is not a theme related issue. Blogs editors are not word processors and "a simple technique to place a number, of a smaller font" does not exist. You have only the options I have posted above.
