To change the default address of your blog ( ccvanaro.wordpress.com ), you can register a new domain through WordPress.com or map an existing domain that you already own. This link has great information about domains: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

Please let me know if you have questions or if anything is unclear.

  3. This is the relevant answer to set your correct time zone:

You can change the default timezone by going to Settings->General, from your Dashboard. Here is a link to help you identify the timezone settings in your blog: http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/general-settings/#timezone

The other links above do not apply to your question. (!)

Why do you want to change your URL?

  4. Here is link to instructions for changing only the ccavanaro part of your wordpress.com domain: http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/#instructions-for-changing-your-blog-address

  5. Regarding changing your blog address to a different WordPress.com URL, my suggestion is to keep it simple. Start a second blog and change the Privacy settings on the first one to Private. You can using it for testing. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/#adding-new-blog-to-an-existing-account

The way to change the blog address that johndcoy mentioned in his second reply, we volunteers have found that people do not fully understand the consequences of the procedure and do not realize that it is irreversible once done.
