I think your colors and theme really suit your blog, I find sport sites are usually color blocks (which you have).
One thing i noticed in the "chase for all time hr record" widget is that your image is a bit stretched. I don't know if that's from the source or if it's how you set it up. If you set it up to a certain width and height, wordpress will stretch it. What you can do if you want to have it fit nicely is just to set the width and leave the height empty then press save - wordpress will automatically define the aspect ratio for you and it won't look warped.
