You STILL need to be logged in to comment

    First of all, I do declare that English is not my native language, so I apologize for any mistake.
    My problem is very simple: WP still ask for a logging password to my followers when they try to comment in any of my posts. I knew about this three weeks ago, but I thought it was a bug and that it was resolved. But now I can see that this problem still goes on and I do not know what to do. I have checked the discussions settings and everything seems to be OK. But the bug is still there. This is something annoying.
    Coul you help me in some way?

    Thank you for your response, but this is something I have already done, some weeks ago and now. If I'm writing this, it's because the problem still goes on; those topics say that it was a bug but now everything is OK. And this is not true. At least, not with my blog. ???

    If you have set your site to not require a name or email address at settings > discussion, then put up a notice on your site (possibly include it at the bottom of each post for a while) telling people to NOT put an email address in when they comment and it will not trigger the need to sign in. Entering an email address is what is going to trigger the wordpress/gravatar account check.

    OK, thank you, I'm going to try this way. :)

    But I must say that I really don't understand the benefits of this situation. One month ago, I knew everything I needed to know about my followers (their names & mails) and they could comment without problems. And now...

    This is due to impersonations; people filling in other people's names and email addresses and posting comment in their name. Sadly the world seems to have dishonest idiots that screw things up for everyone. Very few sites I visit allow you to comment without registering. This is the way it is going to be from now on I think.

    This is something that I have wondered myself many times if would be possible. How can I do?
