    Still no joy...
    :-(

    Thanks for the link.. x

  3. Sorry but the issue is not a WordPress.com issue. You will have to resolve it at your end or contact a computer technician where you live and hire them to fix it.

  6. The most likely issues are:
    not enabling third party cookies
not running the most recent version of Flash
    interference from security programs

    1. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.

    2. If you are using an IE browser in compatibility mode please disable that mode. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

    3. If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/

    (a) Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050

If applicable see here for instructions on how to clear the cache for Chrome and Safari on the iPad:
    http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/safari-ipad-clear-cache.htm
    http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/How-To-Clear-Browsing-Data-In-Chrome-For-Ipad_6.htm

    (b) Make sure that you have both third-party cookies enabled and JavaScript enabled
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
    http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654

    (c) Disable all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily.

    (d) Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

Add both *.wordpress.com and *.wp.com to your list of trusted sites under the Security tab. Make sure to uncheck the box for “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.” http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/#frequently-asked-questions

    4. You can use this link to see if your flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not then go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and download and install the latest version of flash.

    5. Try using another browser.

    6. If you are not successful let us know:
    (a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
    (b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/
    (c) Exactly what you experience including what any error reports you receive state.

Many are complaining on a Facebook, WordPress forum this is an issue.. I am about to point them here..

  8. I don't see you details. Are you going to provide them or not?

  9. I've tried to play some shared FB videos and get a message that it's not available in my country. I've never seen this restriction before.

Also, I've seen where I wasn't able to play videos on bloggers posted WP websites. I get a message where the video contains content from VEVO and is restricted on certain sites but can be watched on YouTube.

Just started seeing these problems on WP sites.

  10. P.S. Let me share the fact with you that the videos on your site play properly audio included for me in IE11, FF27 and Chrome 32. I checked before I answered you the first time in this thread.

However, your site loads like a pig ie. the slow page loading time made me want to squeal. Here's the report > Your website is slower than 89% of all tested websites. http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/elLcXP/http://prayingforoneday.wordpress.com/

These are the ways to reduce page loading time:
    1. Edit posts and insert "the more tag" so only excerpts appear on the front page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

    2. Reduce the number of posts appearing on the front page here > Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most _ posts

    3. Reduce the number of images and or media embeds displayed and/or make them smaller.

    4. Reduce the number of widgets and or banner etc. in the sidebar and footer areas.

  11. An example of being unable to play video due to having content from VEVO can be found in Michael Jackson's video "Man in the Mirror" on this WP post by Horty Rexach http://hrexach.wordpress.com/2014/02/21/to-start-the-day-221/

  12. @patruppel997920134
Hi there. The 2 issues you report are not WordPress.com issues at all. They are also not related to the no audio playing on youtubes issue that this thread is focused on.

  13. @@patruppel997920134
That video plays for me. No issues at all.
    http://hrexach.wordpress.com/2014/02/21/to-start-the-day-221/

  14. Thank you, timethief. Whose issues are they -- YouTube/VEVO? Where do you recommend we go to address these issues?

Also, thank you for the recommended suggestions above on the More Tag and page loading. I learned something today and tried it on some of my posts. It reduced it from 86% slower to 75% slower.

  15. Timethief -- question: why would the video on the link I sent you work for you and not for me? Any ideas?

  16. Yes.

It is a Vevo issue. It is their choice to block people from certain countries from seeing certain versions of their music videos. This is an anti-piracy measure. It doesn't work, but that's what they do it for. You can use IP anonymizing software to get around it. They will sometimes let you view it on the YouTube page but it won't work if you embed it. Test this by embedding a non-vevo YouTube.

prayingforoneday I can play your Bryan Adams video in your post and hear the audio and see the video. In these forums the error you're experiencing seems to be related to Chrome and the latest Flash upgrade. Maybe go back to a previous version of Flash.

Thanks for feedback, many reporting this issue..

    Thanks a lot
    Shaun

  18. I noticed this problem today mid-day for me. I was able to follow all my posts without any problems.

Any reblogged post ... from today was "blank" except for title. No links, no ability to see any embedded video.

Seems that it was taken care of while I was away.
Thank you very much for your interest and help.
    It's really appreciated!! :-)
