you tube videos are not playing in my blog all of a sudden, just get a static shot with arrow...I have cleared the cache and cookies. They are however playing on my you tube channel.

For wordpress.com blogs, I'm getting good display of youtube videos by inserting the following into my blog.
[youtube="http://www.youtube.com..."]
where ... is the rest of the youtube URL of the video. The embed code for the video is not used.
For an example, go to my blog, click the Recipes tab and click the Whole Wheat Bread Videos link.
I'm having the same issue, just starting today. The videos that I've embedded in previous posts are still showing up for me, but I am unable to embed in new posts. I have a draft post going and the video will not show in preview mode. Instead I just get a large blank space where the video would be. I also tried publishing a test post, and trying different videos, but they wouldn't appear there either. I've signed out, cleared cookies, restarted, turned off my adblocker, checked my java settings, all to no avail. I use Firefox 3.6.8, but it's not working in either Firefox or IE7.
I don't get any of my videos in my blog when I read it on IE8, but the issue for me is contained strictly within IE8. The videos, (all from youtube)before wednesday morning worked just fine.
If I read any of my articles on firefox, chrome or even my IPOD, the videos are just fine, but in IE they are merely a black window with no capacity to do anything.
So the key, until they actually get this resolved, and it's been an issue system wide for 3 days, is to read your stuff on either firefox or chrome, as far as I can tell.
I wouldn't mind seeing someone fix this issue. There have been numerous complaints here on the forums, and nothing has been done as of yet. It'll get resolved, The people here at wordpress are good, but it is a pain waiting this long for a resolution.
Has any one found a fix for this yet?
I'm getting exactly the same issue with blank boxes.
This has just suddenly started happening today. If I try and repost previous videos I have used I from youtube I get the same issue. however if I copy and paste the code it still works.
I'm not sure whether YOUTUBE is the problem with different embed code.
I have managed to embed by swapping out video ref link "woOc6Ip2jDs"

As has been reported in numerous other threads, the way to embed YouTube videos here in such a way that the embeds ALWAYS work is the shortcode, [youtube=URL] where URL is the url you get from the Share button on YouTube, not from the browser bar. The full code embeds do not work now. I'm sure staff will re-enable them in the future, once they've taken into account the changes YouTube has made over the past few days.

The site linked to your name is not a WordPress.com blog, and we won't be able to help you with that.
If you DO have a WP.com blog, please provide the URL and also explain exactly how you have been attempting to put a YouTube in the post. I have explained how to do it so that it works.
