   It's not a question so much as a pissed off rant how i just spent 30 minutes writing a good long poem, but in your new stupid format for a new text post which you changed for no freaking reason only to look more like tumblr which was unneeded as i loved your old style of text post which actually saved a draft when you wrote a freaking post so that when i publish something that was quite long and just the title appears and i freak out and look for a saved raft before that that it had said it made and nothing it there......it was just a random poem of a rambling rant prose poem, but it is just very frustrating to have a poem completely lost to technology. :[ anyways, other than that, i do love your blog space but i do not know why the text post format had to change. i understand the want to be somewhat like tumblr for the likes and reblogs but this is still a literary site and many people use your site for a place to write so we need the max space of the text post like the old new text post format where i could state the categories and where things actually publish correctly. thanks

   Blog editors and word processors are not the same and do not work the same way. The web standard is one blank line only, so you cannot add more blank lines by pressing return repeatedly like you would do with a typewriter or in a word processing application.    If you are working in the Visual editor, to get single spacing between paragraphs hold the SHIFT key down and simultaneously click ENTER at the end of the paragraph.

   If you are working in the HTML (Text) editor, a single click of ENTER will give you a single-spaced line, and two clicks of ENTER will result in double spaced lines. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/09/13/wordpress-formatting-and-spacing/

   P.S. When you create a new post, always make sure the Format tool is set to Paragraph before you start typing. It's in the Visual editor Row 2 first position "style". See the illustration here http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2 If you forget to do that then edit the post, highlight all in the Visual editor, select Paragraph from the Format tool, switch editor to Text then switch back to Visual and click Update.
