YouTube video not showing

  1. For some reason my youtube video isn't displaying no matter what I try: http://safehealthyct.org/2012/03/09/silent-spring-institutes-consumer-products-study-video/

The blog I need help with is safehealthyct.org.

  2. It's displaying corectly for me using Firefox 10.0.2 and that means you have a browser issue. Whenever anything like this happens the first thing to do is to clear your browser cache and cookies. Please try that.

  3. I'm using Firefox 10.0.2 but it doesn't seem to display properly either. I also have trouble posting youtube videos: pasting the URL as the video's playing (with a blank line before and after) results in the URL showing in full and not functioning as a link. Using HTML rather than Visual code in my post, and copying and pasting the imbed code from the desired YouTube, produces a blank YouTube frame, with no content at all, not even the URL. I've followed all of Timetheif's great suggestions, and it seems as though all my settings are in order. I have Internet Explorer 8, but since I can't update it (I'm using windows xp), it doesn't work well with the current WordPress version. Any help anyone can suggest would be great. The link to the problematic post as it is now is

    Thank you for your help.

I use Firefox 10.0.2 and IE8. I use the youtube and other video [shorcode] and it works every time for me. Please try using the shortcode. It's easy as pie to do.

  5. "[shorcode]" was meant to be "[shortcode]"

  6. Hi there,
You're right @timethief, it is easy as pie using shortcode. The documentation has a -A at the end of the video URL in the shortcode, which seemed to be the problem, causing an error message to appear when I tried to play the videos. This was still a step in the right direction though, as at least there *was* a Play button to activate. . Removing the -A produced a beautiful functioning YouTube frame. My issue now is that the videos work in IE but not Firefox. Or at least not in my Firefox ...

My issue now is that the videos work in IE but not Firefox. Or at least not in my Firefox ...

I am using Firefox 10.0.2 and IE8 and the three videos in this post "The Power of Music " all operate correctly for me in both browsers. Note that IE6 and IE7 are old browser versions that are no longer supported.

  12. YIKES! I made a mistake above by including a space that does not belong in the shortcode. This is the corrected shortcode. It's displaying properly on my test blog.
