1 column or 2 makes no difference

Hi. I’m using the Yoko theme, which has 3 columns. I want a home page with just 1 column. How do I get Yoko to display just one column for just the home page? [The ‘screen options’ pull down tab only displays 1 or 2 columns]

The blog I need help with is thetwelvehorsemen.wordpress.com.

Screen options is for the dashboard, not for the public side of the site.

You can set static pages (about, etc.) to one column, no sidebar by selecting that option from the page template pulldown in the attributes module in the page editor. There is no “no sidebar” option for the main posts page.

You could remove the sidebar from the main page with CSS, but that requires the Custom Design upgrade. Do you have that upgrade?

OK thanks. Stupid of me..should have seen that.

Not yet, but I’m increasingly tempted to get it!

    You are welcome.
