A Few CSS Questions About Oulipo

    I’m completely new to CSS, but I’ve been able to maneuver some of the CSS codes in Oulipo the way I’ve wanted to. I just have a few more questions. This is my blog that’s still in the works:

    1. I’m trying to add some space between the end of one post and the beginning of another so it’s not so mashed together.
    2. I can’t seem to figure out how to alter the text of the date/leave comment (I can’t get it out of italics).
    3. Is there ANY way for me to add the tags to the bottom of the page?

    Thanks guys!

    The blog I need help with is citymeetstheshore.wordpress.com.

    1. Add the following and adjust the 3.4em value in the below.

    .hentry {
    margin: 0 0 3.4em;

    2. I’m not seeing any italics for the date/leave a comment, but this is where it is.

    .entry-meta {
    font: 12px "Helvetica Neue",Arial,Helvetica,"Nimbus Sans L",sans-serif;

    3. Tags are at the bottom of the posts.

    Actually I see you have coraline set as the theme on the blog you referenced. CSS is theme specific so the above was for Coraline, not for Oulipo.

    I apologize for that, I was actually trying out a different theme because I was getting frustrated. I have it back to the Oulipo so I’m going to see if this helps me out. Thanks!

    For the Oulipo theme, I can’t seem to get the tags to show up on the front part of the post, only when I click on the actual post itself.

    1. Adjust the 4em value.

    .entry {
    margin: 0 0 4em;

    2. Add this

    p.date {
    font-style: normal;

    3. Tags and categories only show on the single-post page (after clicking on the post title on the main page) and they show to the right of the content. I’ve tried several things, but can’t get it to move over cleanly to where it would work with varying lengths of posts. Unless devblog or hallluke happen by with a solution to this one I’m afraid it might not be possible.

    The tags do not show on the main page of that theme. That was how the designer decided to do it. There is no way to add them since CSS cannot be used to add or change functionality, only to style the page elements that are already there.

    Shucks, well I can live without it. Thanks for your help!

    You are welcome.

    I use oulipo at http://joshintaiwan.com and use a tag cloud on the sidebar – that might be a solution to OP’s problem.
