Accessible themes from.org to .com

  • I’m just wondering if it’s possible to add more of the themes with the accessibility ready tag onto WordPress.com through WordPress.org?
If the team could do this I’d really like more accessible theme options on WordPress.com as this would, not only help me, but many people because they will have more choices in accessibility.

Would the theme developers have to submit them to wordpress.com again or can the team just move somd over or make some mre available?

  • The WordPress.com theme team is definitely aiming to making more accessible themes available on WordPress.com in 2015, both original designs and conversions of existing themes. While we won’t be doing a wholesale conversion of themes from WordPress.org, we are looking at making more new free themes accessibility-ready as we go forward this year.

  • Thanks! I have subscribed to this topic to be sure of updates. :) Is there a blog where I can keep track of what new accessibility ready themes have been added to wordpress.com

  • Sounds good! This is where you can watch for new accessibility-ready themes:
