Accidental deletin of part of post

  1. I have accidentally deleted part of my first post while trying to make categories changes. I understand that I can retrieve it through a 'compare revisions' feature, but I can't find earlier versions of the post. Can someone help>

The blog I need help with is themonstachronicles.com.

  2. Go to your post editing page for that post.
Scroll down. The Revisions module is usually at the bottom of the page.
You will see a list of revisions.
Click on one that is likely to have your full post content.
If that's the one you want, click on the Header, which will be a link bringing you back to the editing page with the content of that revision in the edit box.

  3. Also, if you don't see "Revisions," click on the "Screen Options" and make sure that "Revisions" is check-marked. :-)

BTW, if you haven't updated your post yet, you can just close that window, go back to the post, and then edit it again -- as long as you've not updated it, the content will still be the same as in the posted version.

That is true, of course, if you're speaking of a post you've already published to your blog, not one that was just in draft form. :)

  5. Hello there,
I'm posting the reference links to the relevant support entries links so they appear here when this thread goes into the searchbox and those who locate the thread in the future find the support links.
