Account Recovery Woes

    First, I am shocked that you have to have a paid account to access WordPress customer support. What is that about? I have a paid account, but I can’t log into it, hence my need for customer support! Truly shocking.

    Anyway, I am trying to recover another WordPress account, but my only piece of verification that I have is a PayPal transaction ID for the most recent billing. Unfortunately, when I enter it, I am met with the following message:

    ‘The receipt does not appear to be valid.’

    And I can go no further. I was definitely charged for this bill, and I copied the ID number directly from my PayPal receipt. What do I do now? Is there not a number I can call?

    Yes, I have used the account recovery process as best I can, but it does not accept my transaction ID, giving me the message ‘The receipt does not appear to be valid.’ This is after copying the ID directly from PayPal to the provided form.

    The blog is I believe the username is anamelessone. I have long since forgotten the email I used for this account, and it was last updated about a year ago. I can provide a screenshot of the PayPal receipt to a mod/customer support rep/etc., if given the opportunity.
