The blog I need help with is

I added a new DNS Zone record for your domain. This change may take a little while to be fully effective. Could you give it some time then try updating the name servers again?

You can go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.

Please take a look at the following guide before going through the process.

I have purchased a domain ( to use as my blog URL. However i cant make it work. I tryed to write the nameserver on the domainproviders controlpanel, but it somehow doesnt work, even though i tested if wordpresses nameserver is accepted on their site, and it is. My problem is that the domainprovider (or actually hostmaster for all domainproviders in my country, denmark) doesnt give any support on nameserver issues. So im kind of stuck. I would be sorry to cancel my add-domain purchase from WordPress and find a different alternative. Do you have any solutions? Please help, i would love to use wordpress as a host for my blog. Thanks Michell

Your domain registrar should be able to provide you support at . If it’s not possible to change the nameservers records, you can map a subdomain ( instead.

Adding a subdomain requires you to add a CNAME record. The CNAME record should look something like the following (please note the fullstop character at the end of each domain name): IN CNAME

Instructions on how to add a CNAME record can vary between domain registrars. If you’re unsure of how to do this, we recommend contacting your domain registrar for assistance with this step.

Let me know if you want to use a subdomain and I’ll change the domain mapping upgrade for you.

    Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you for the reply. Its quite frustration since dandomain replyed that they can not offer me support, unless they will host a site for me and then they will be able to direct the IP adress to wordpress. Im not sure what all this means, but dont want to add more expenses to the blog then necessary.

Thank you for the tip about the subdomain option. However,I would like to avoid creating a sub domain. If that was the only option, i think sticking with would have been cheaper and easier.

So i would like to give it a last shot with trying to redeligate, the wordpress to If you can help, i have a few last questions to see if i can complete the task.

    – What might be the/a reason for not being possible to change the nameserver like you said?

    – Have you had succes by redeligating a .dk domain to wordpress before?

    – Just to be sure, Is the only thing i have to do, is change the nameserver to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM ?

Thank you for your help and time

    To answer your questions:
1: Most domain registrar support the ability to change a nameserver record. I’m not sure why some don’t.
2: We can basically map any domain extension if they are able to change the nameserver records.
3: You will need to update the name servers as below:

    Thank you

i will try again with the domain provider.

    Have a great day
