Add third column in customer CSS (K2 Lite)
We are running the K2 Lite theme on WordPress.com. Does anyone know if there is a way to add a third column on the left hand side? I know there is K2 Lite theme you can upload but since we are on WordPress.com that is not an option. I am guessing there is a way to edit the theme, but before we dive into that I didn’t know if anyone out there might be able to offer some help and insight. Having a third column would be great if possible.
The blog I need help with is theguruinvestor.com.
Hmm. I’d be surprised if it was a thing you could do with CSS actually. If there isn’t a selector for a second sidebar defined, then you can’t create one. CSS only affects appearance, not functionality.
You’d might have more luck starting with a 3-column theme and customising colours/fonts etc. to make it look like K2 Lite.
Thank you for the quick response.
I think I might have a work around using tables, but still under consideration. Even if the posts are indented over, I think it will look ok. I want to stack some images on the left hand side on the home page. The downside to doing it this way is I will have edit each previous post, which sort of sticks but for now it’s what I will have to do.
If I use tables, I will have to make the page wider and adjust the customer header. Do you know, if I make the page 900px, will the customer header take if I re-size it? It should, right?
If you’re using the CSS editor, you’ll need to put the header into the code, rather than using the Custom Header uploader, anyway. So you can set it to any size you like.
