    Hi,

I want to add a ‘add to cart’ button for PayPal and another payment gateway option into my .com site. Is this possible?

The blog I need help with is anelbrink.com.

While you can sell your work on your blog, no blogger initiated advertising, retailing, or reselling of work created or services provided by other people is allowed on WordPress.com.

This link will give you instructions for using a Paypal button on your blog:

If you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality beyond this, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on e-commerce if you set up a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.

Please see this link to learn about the differences:

    Thank you for your reply.

I am still a bit confused as to if my site belongs on .com or .org.

Here are the things that I am not clear on:

I make clothes myself and sell that over the internet on order. Is this allowed on wordpress.com?

I have a PayPal account that I can use but this is only in $. I want to also have a local currency payment gateway available to customers on my .com site. Will this be possible with woocommerce? I know that .com does not have the option of using plugins so will this prevent me from adding my own shopping cart app?

    Thanks

That’s fine, but you can’t host a shopping cart on your blog, and blog has to be more than just a storefront.

That is possible, but only with a self-hosted WordPress.org blog. It can’t be done on WordPress.com.

That is allowed on WP.com. What it isn’t is easy.

I have to strongly recommend you get independent hosting and look into WP.ORG installs. Adding ecommerce like you’re talking about is easy there. Here, we can only link to external store sites OR use the Paypal donation button.
