Adding a logo in the header instead of text

  1. I need help changing the header from a text and possibly putting in a logo instead.

    The blog I need help with is

  2. You create a header image of the correct size with your logo in it using either a desktop or online image editing program and then you upload it > Appearance > Header.

  3. That can be done and we've done it many times with the theme you are using. What you need to do is to get your logo sized and uploaded. The best size would probably be something around 390px x 120px. That is just a general guide, but anything much taller than that would make the white space above the header image grow and it might look out of proportion then.

    If you get your image done, upload it to your media library and then post a link to it here in the forum, we can help you accomplish this.

    Oh no! I did it again. This is a CSS forum thread (crawling under a rock)

  5. No worries timethief.

    How are you doing?

  6. Im trying to upload my logo to "brand new day theme" and am unable to do so... pls help... my page is still a test so please excuse

  7. @themumsworld
    If you have purchased a custom design upgrade please note that all CSS editing is theme specifc and you have posted about a different theme into the thread focused on the Twenty Eleven theme. If you have purchased that upgrade then please click this link and start your own thread for css editing the Brand New Day theme in the CSS forum

  8. I checked and I see it's not using the Adventure Journal theme.

    To replace the site title text with a logo in the Adventure Journal theme, add this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor:

    #logo a {
      display: block;
      text-indent: -9999px;
      background: url( no-repeat;
      width: 150px;
      height: 150px;

    Change the url() value to an image link from your media library. Change the width value to the width of your image. Change the height value to the height of your image.
