Adding copyright message to all posts

I would like to add a copyright message to each and every article I post on my site, and I was wondering if there was a way to do this that did not involve manually typing it in every time I publish. I do have the CSS upgrade, in case this is relevant and of course, I use WordPress.com.

    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is real-agenda.com.

Easiest way is to add a text widget to the sidebar so as the notice appears alongside every page.

That what I do on my site.

This is what WP suggest to prevent content theft

You can also copy and paste in the text at the bottom of the Post – if you have a link to the notice then just copy the html version and past it in the html editor then switch back to visual.

Nah! I do encourage people to use my content. I also have a disclaimer at the bottom of the site regarding the usage of material. But people don’t seem to respect it. I thought about putting it on top of each post, but I then thought it was kind of on your face.

Are there any happiness engineers who can help with this?

The problems is not the usage, but the lack of credit to the author. I thought that if I could force a message before people were able to paste the text on their pages, it would be a good warning.

It would be a good feature for wordpress to add for those of us who pay for upgrades.

The copyright symbol and/or licences in the blog footer, sidebar or even at the end of all posts are not magical and are not legally required. What stops content thieves is DMCA complaints to their web hosts. Content Theft – What to Do

Again, the problem is not people taking the content and pasting it, but the fact they do not give credit as due. I am looking for a feature that would alert them to make sure to add the credit as it is required and not in the form the best see fit.

There is no such “feature”. You can place your copyright in a text widget and then get Staff to help you use CSS to position it. As you have th custom design upgrade I’ll flag this thread so it gets moved to the CSS forum for you.

You can also copy/paste the same message into each post.

    This is not possible.

Including a credit at the bottom of each post as auxclass suggested is probably your best bet.

And the link timethief provided plus another about preventing content theft are the best related documentation we have available on this subject for you:

    Use slidebar text.

    What is slidebar text?

May I suggest such a feature for WordPress to offer ?

    Thanks.

Thank you for the suggestion, but what you described earlier where an alert is added when someone tries to paste text isn’t really feasible. The advice here is the best option for you:
