I’m trying to add a linked-in member profile code to my blog. I have tried inserting the suggested code found here on a page, in a post and in the text/html widget box.

When I enter the code, nothing appears and it disappears when I try to access it again.

How can I get the Member Profile Plugin to show up on my site

The blog I need help with is

You don’t. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs like the one linked to your username and we cannot install individual plugins or third party themes into them. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

Publicize and sharing buttons > To connect your blog to your LinkedIn account, go to Settings > Sharing in your site Dashboard.. instructions here >

@timethief: Thank you for your reply. I wish there were some way to publicize my linked-in profile on my wordpress.COM site. Alas.

If anyone else has a solution to meet this end I would love to hear it.

LinkedIn has a widget code. It works in a text widget here.

@raincoaster: Thanks for the info! Can you re-post with a link to the widget code/instructions?

I checked the LinkedIn Member Profile Plugin you provided and I found that it gave the option to add a script like this:

    <script src="//" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script type="IN/MemberProfile" data-id="" data-format="inline"></script>

However, doesn’t offer the ability to add Javascript directly to sites. See this help page for more details:

A plain HTML widget from LinkedIn will work though. See this page for several examples:
