Adding Music to Play Automatically
<audio>tag– that will make things on the web much richer, faster, and easier. I tried implementing this new audio tag into an HTML sidebar widget, but the code was disabled. This has nothing to do with Flash or Java– is there any reason why I can’t use this code? It is, after all, plain HTML. Will I be able to use it soon? Please?!
Also, I don’t suppose there’s any way I could pay WordPress.com to let me use an automatic music player? I think not, but I thought I’d ask.
One last thing– there’s no such thing as a plain HTML player anywhere out there, I presume? It doesn’t sound possible, but then you never know.
The blog I need help with is ipfsquared.wordpress.com.
It’s not just Flash or Java. WordPress.com severely restricts what you can put in your blog for security reasons. Normally, they don’t support newish things at all.
There is no way I know of to have autoplay music in a WP.com blog, and most of your readers will thank you for it. More than 50% of internet surfers are either playing music already or do not have speakers hooked up and turned on.
You CAN pay, if you qualify for the VIP program: I think you need half a million hits a month and $600 per month. Then you can have anything you want.
