Adding Pay Pal Buy Now Buttons to my Blog

  1. I am trying to add PayPal Buy Now Buttons. I cut and paste the HTML Code in the email section but when i view it in Visual it still comes out with the code but no image of the button have tried this about 10 times.
    Blog url:

  2. I'm afraid e-commerce isn't possible here at

If you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality, you might be interested in a self-hosted ( installation. There are no restrictions on e-commerce if you set up a self-hosted blog instead of a blog, but there are some added responsibilities.

Please see this link to learn about the differences:

We have hosting recommendations at the following link if you are interested:

  3. Thanks very much for your reply...hadn't realised that e-commerce was not possible at the time of creation.

So to clarity the situation....I can make this possible by the transfer of my blog to either through my own steam or the Happiness Engineer?

Last year i re-created by Website via WordPress and as i wanted to keep the original email address used on my site, i had to use the services of my old hosts Heart Internet re-directing via DNS servers. It would be good to makes things easy, simple and streamline now. If i transfer to and take on new hosts will this take care of everything? Can i still keep an address info@....Will the website still look the same are there additional features...Will the Happiness Engineer guide me through the whole process including hosting etc and keep me Happy?

  4. does not provide e-commerce support, and there is not a way to add custom form code like drop-down selections, but you actually can add simple PayPal Buy Now buttons. You need to follow the directions here and also switch out the image:

If you still want to switch to, we have a Guided Transfer service which you can purchase. See this help pages for more information:

  5. Thank you for that design simply! What you mean you by "switch out the image"

  6. Just follow the guide at and use one of PayPal's Buy image rather than a Donate image.

  7. Thanks - all now resolved. The problem i was having was that WordPress was not copying the Pay Now button. For anyone reading this what worked for me was to save the Pay Now button from Paypal onto my computer and then upload it onto the blog page, then copy and paste the Paypal code into the link to section eh voila!

Confusion also over e-commerce. Although told i am not able to e-commerce i was also advised that you can use Paypal Buy Now buttons (see above) and have successfully done so, pheh!!
