Hi there – I want to add spaces in my blog posts. At the moment carnard defaults so that all the text bunches together and it looks really ugly. I’d like to format text like the below

insert text here.insert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text here

    image

insert text here.insert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text hereinsert text here

    I have tried adding

into the html but it removes it as soon as I update. Any help would be appreciated!!

The blog I need help with is brokelondonblog.com.

    Hi there,

How are you adding text to your blog posts? Typing directly into the WordPress editor, hitting enter and adding images by clicking on ‘Add Media’ will automatically format the blog post to have the spaces you want. The formatting in your posts includes a lot of extra mark-up (each paragraph is wrapped in a separate div tag), which is probably what is messing up the formatting.

If you are copying and pasting from a rich text editor like Microsoft Word it can cause problems as it automatically adds extra mark-up. This explains a little more: https://en.support.wordpress.com/microsoft-word/.

    I hope this helps?
