Adding Users – Email Not Recognized

    I am attempting to add my colleague as a contributor to our blog. When I enter his email under “Add User From Community,” I get the message, “This email address does not belong to any user here.”

    I double checked with him, and that is definitely the correct email address he registered with. Is there a delay before he can be added to my blog? What should I do?

    That is a pretty strange one. When you try to add their email address, it is pulling from the entire user base, so unless it is a syncing issue (try again in a few hours), maybe ask the other user to check their profile page to make sure that is the email address they used since it sometimes is easy to get confused when you don’t login with your email address here, but your username. If it is the address for sure, then I would contact support if you are 100% sure it is the correct address. They have to have an account here at and not just with (common misunderstanding).



    So it turns out that just because my friend said he used that email address doesn’t mean he actually did. Finally got it right. Thank you very much for your help, Trent.
