I have heard we can run google adsense and kontera in text advertising in word press. How to activate it?

The blog I need help with is

You don’t. Please read the support documentation very carefully.

    Hi Infinite Courses,

I’m the Community Manager at Kontera. It depends what kind of blog you have, if you have a hosted blog, for instance you bought the URL at a site like, WordPress is completely fine with you using Kontera.

Here’s the link to the Kontera WordPress plugin:

Only in cases where it’s a completely free WordPress blog, does WordPress prohibit advertising.

If this is the blog you are talking about, , then see Timethief’s response above.

To advertise on your blog, you will have to buy a domain name, hire a web host such as godaddy, bluehost, etc. and install and configure the wordpress software on that webhost. The average monthly cost will come out to about $10 to $25 including hosting and domain name costs.

You will be responsible for all upgrades, all installations, all backups, and all troubleshooting. If something goes wrong, you will need to figure out what it is and fix it.

Indeed, and here are the differences between and which are posted at the head of this forum in a please-read-me-first-before-posting sticky post.
Here is an expanded entry on the same subject prepared by Staff and posted on front page of the support documentation.

I’ll just add this: Unless you have over 1000 hits per day and are blogging about a subject where the typical visitor is inclined to click on ads, don’t expect to make much money. Typically all you will do is cover part of your hosting expenses. Most I know that get between 1000 and 2000 hits per day will only make about $100 per YEAR in revenue from ads.
