Advanced Settings Tab Gone

  1. Lots of WP users are wondering what happened to The Advanced Settings tab which has vanished from the Edit Image menu, and those of us who used the old editor seriously miss being able to control this feature. It would be great if a happiness engineer could communicate the status of this issue/explain the logistics. So far no one seems to know what's going on (unless I missed something).

The blog I need help with is

  2. Please read the sticky post at the head of the support forums at this link

If you have questions or concerns about the changes to the Image Editor in particular, we ask that you post your feedback in the following thread:

  3. Thank you. That helps. Guess the topic title of the sticky threw me off.

  4. Yes I can see how that would be the case.

  5. So, I've walked through many threads including the one you suggest, and nowhere does any thread address this issue. I've seen quite a few other WP bloggers question this for example here, and in no case has there been a response from WP other than to send us to the same link, which unfortunately does not answer the problem. I appreciate the hard work and the upgrades, but the problem remains: how to manipulate the image properties that were once "border," "vertical space," and horizontal space," where we could enter a pixel value, so that images were offset from text. The result is a degradation of the appearance of images inside posts.

  6. I'm sorry you couldn't find answers in the threads your searched through. I'll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  7. Please refer to this thread, which is where we are noting the issues with the image editor functions and posting updates as we get them:

If your issue is not already addressed in that thread, feel free to add a comment.

  8. Hi there,

Just an update, I have great news.

Our developers have added border and margin options to the Advanced Options as seen in the screenshot below:

    Cheers and Happy Blogging!
