ADVERT PHISHING MALAWARE ON iOS
I run a small website on the free wordpress.com for a support group, the site contains a mixture of blogs and information pages. I put links to new posts on Facebook. The last blog that I posted was giving people on Iphones and Ipads pop up adverts when they opened it via the link saying that they had won an IPhone etc. and these were causing people to have to shut off their Ipads or phones to get rid of it. I do not use my Ipad to work on my blog but ran a virus scan on my laptop and pc and no threats were shown. When I used my Ipad to open up the blog from the link I did not get anything at first but after a couple of times I did get one of these phishing adverts. I have now deleted the offending blog off my website and hope that my other posts are not infected. Any suggestions please. Could the malaware have come through one of the random adverts that WordPress generate at the bottom of my blogs?
The blog I need help with is specialneedsgrandparents.wordpress.com.

We’ve received several reports of the same issue. WordPress.com doesn’t serve pop-up ads so we are currently looking into what could be causing them to appear and we’ll post an update in this thread:
You can receive an email when someone replies using the ‘Notify me of followup posts via e-mail’ option at the bottom.
In the meantime, I’ll pass this information on to our developers to have a look at. If you are concerned about malware, I’d recommend running a trusted Malware scanner on your device.
