advertising word ads
So I submitted to get more information about advertising on my blog and received an email back saying it could be a few weeks before I get a response. It’s only been about 24 hours and already I have a huge you tube ad on my blog. So how and when does this begin to generate revenue? and what if I decide I don’t want it?

I don’t think you understand the situation here. The video ad is placed there by WordPress.com. WordPress.com has been running advertising on our free hosted blogs since 2006. Many bloggers do not know this because despite the fact they ticked the box required to get a free blog, they did not read the ToS. Many also do not read features page, or advertising entry in the support documents after registering their username and blog(s). Also note that as the ads do not display to us when we are logged in, and as many use browsers with ad blockers when logged out, they may not realize they are there at all.
The only way to get rid of all advertising on our free hosted WordPress.com blogs is to purchase an annually renewable No-Ads upgrade.
I purchased an upgrade bundle which includes “no ads” – but then checked my site on another computer – and saw the ads were still there.
Do I have to delete that post (which went up pre-“no ads”) and re-post it (post-“no ads”) in order to eliminate them?
No don’t do that. I’ll flag this thread for Staff attention. Please be patient while waiting.

I don’t see a record of a No Ads or Value Bundle purchase for this site.

Well, yes. I have both the PayPal record of this purchase and also info in my account in the “Store” to that effect. The domain name became effective immediately, but the ads are still turned on.
To whom can I submit the PayPal documentation or a cut & paste of “my account” from the Store?
