    Why can’t I align photos to text, and why can’t I create a border around them any more?????

    This was easy to do until the latest “improvement” and right now my new posts look like crap. I left align and left align again, and photos still appear with no text on the line. And, it’s impossible to put a border around the photo (usually, I’d make it 8 pt. and white to match the background) for a readable text.

    The blog I need help with is mexfiles.net.

    Hi there!

    There were some recent changes to the Visual Editor and Image Editor that removed the ability to add a border. You can read more about those changes here:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/the-paste-as-word-button-has-been-removed-from-the-visual-editor?replies=4

    However, you should still be able to adjust the image alignment as demonstrated here:

    To navigate to that screen, just click the “pencil” icon when hovering over an image in your post.

    As for the border, the easiest way to do this is now through HTML. For the example you provided, you could enter the following code within the image HTML in the Text editor:

    <img class="alignleft size-large wp-image-15501" src="URL?w=584" width="584" height="389" border="8px" />

    The “border=_px” should add a border to your image.

    Can you let me know if either of those options don’t work on your side?
