Am getting very frustrated.
I am instructed to go to tools to delete content and do not see this option. Will I get a request or should I just move on?
The blog I need help with is jasonlaynebio.wordpress.com.
There is no content here http://jasonlaynebio.wordpress.com/
re: Nothing Found
Apologies, but no results were found. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.
By default the front page of your blog displays all posts. The 404 (page not found) error message on the front page of the blog appeared because the Admin of the blog deleted the placeholder Hello World post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/ As soon as you publish a post, not a page it will disappear. Read the differences between Pages and Posts.
This is the link to the step by step learn WordPress.com blogging tutorial Staff have linked to the bottom of your Admin page.
My point is that I want to get rid of the blogs that show up on my screen and when I make that attempt I get nowhere. Exactly who at WordPress handles this.
Are you referring to self hosted blog URLs on your account that you would like to have Staff remove for you? If so please post the URLs and I’ll tag the thread so they are removed.
sorry, I should have been clearer. No this is wordpress.com.
I want to get rid of the blogs that show up on my screen
You have the option to either hide or make the blogs visible on your Dashboard. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility
I am attempting that and still cannot find where that is.
You must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered any blog to access it.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility
If you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If required click the “Need More Help” link and complete the form for account recovery.
I go to blog manager and see the blogs but I see no option for privacy settings. This is really confusing.
Essentially I need a blow by blow explanation of what I am supposed to click after I sign in and I cannot figure out where to sign out.
After you access the blog in question note that you can make the blog visibility “private” so it does not display to others.
If you wish you can delete the blog knowing that if you do delete it the URL cannot be recycled or reused by you or by anyone else. You must be sure you never want to use the blog again if you delete it.
access the blog at which point?

I followed your last comment. I do not see anything about making site invisible to links. Your coaching does not match the screen. I need to speak to someone who will walk me through this.
I signed out of account, I signed back in, I then go to reader and then to settings and I still do not see anything regarding privacy,
additionally the link you sent me to article has an entirely different screen than mind. Who do I call?
Settings > Reading
scroll down to:
_Allow search engines to index this site
_Discourage search engines from indexing this site
Note: Neither of these options blocks access to your site — it is up to search engines to honor your request.
_ I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose
Select and click “save changes”
I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.
Thanks. Your link sent me to the reader privacy screen and I set it. My question is how I get there on my own. Obviously I am missing some protocol.
Another thing, when I looked at my blog it had some ridiculous comment about 4 out of 5 dentist recommending my site.
I have no idea what that is and I really don’t want that to be there,
You have been very patient and thank you. I’m just going to need to spend some time with this.
