Andrea – Contact form
Have used this theme for a friend, and mostly it’s just right except for a page with the [contact-form] short code.
The panel(s) to type into are very similar in shade to the background, both are dark, and on my laptop screen they really don’t show up well. They are better but not good on my calibrated Eizo monitor. If this theme could be tweaked to make that colour a lot paler that would greatly improve that feature of it IMHO.
The blog I need help with is shieldsds.wordpress.com.

Also for future reference please provide a url starting with the prefix http:// so the volunteers can determine which WordPress blogging platform your asking for since the answer only apply to WP.com blogs here…

OK, I did that, what happens next? BTW I didn’t put the blog URL in as I didn’t think it was something that would be difficult to reproduce.
What happens is that Staff will have your support ticket in their queue and when thy get to it they will want to click into your blog and see it. They will want to use the same operating system and the same browser and version it you are using and attempt to reproduce the problem.
When contacting Staff in order to avoid a time delay in finding a solution and applying it what’s important important is to include full details in your support ticket. Staff need to know what operating system you are using, which browser and version of it you are using, if you tried another browser or not and what the results were, whether or not your Flash is up to date, and how you are connecting to the internet and to wordpress.com.
Supplying all these details up front in your support ticket means Staff won’t have to employ back and forth email exchange with you in order to obtain relevant details and that means they can identify the source of the problem and provide a solution quickly. Not supplying them means there will be a longer wait and emails flying back and forth before the issue can be resolved.
I eventually got a reply from support and have replied by email including a bit of a screen shot showing the problem, which is that the text box is dark blue – almost the same dark blue as the surrounding screen.
