Animated GIF not working

    Hi everyone,

I’m having an interesting problem that I don’t understand.

First, let me explain that I’m trying to get my blog ready to switch from the Chaotic Soul theme to the Benevolence theme. And as such, I’ve set up a second blog where I can work out all the visual issues before I make the switch.

Now, I’ve posted an animated GIF to my real blog, and it works just fine, but when I post the same GIF to the second blog using the benevolence theme, it doesn’t work.

The only difference between the two is that I had to size it down to fit on the benevolence themed blog, but would that stop it from working?

Or do animated GIFs simply not work with benevolence? Or is there some other answer?

    Anyone know?

    Thanks for the help!

Resizing an animated GIF will disable the animation unless you are using GIF animation software to do the resizing on all the frames and then recompiling the animation at the new size.

    that explains it. thanks!

I have also been having problems. When I load an animated gif, I only get the first picture. I’ve set it up on the “other” page. You have to click on the picture, which opens a new page, to get the animation. How do I overcome that? I’m also having the same problem with a pdf newsletter file. Instead of opening on the first click, it gives me a second page, then I can open it. Any suggestions? Thanks.
