Annoying Inconvenience! HOME link not in navigation.

I’m using Piano Black by Mono-Lab, which clearly has a “home” tab in the navigation on the preview image. However, on my website the home tab isn’t there! I’ve made do with this by making a HOME linked image in the sidebar, but it’s VERY INCONVENIENT.

Can someone please tell me how to either get the home tab in the nav bar OR to make the header image linked to the home page.

The blog I need help with is bellewhittington.com.

No, you’re using Dusk to Dawn, actually.

If the blog linked to your name is not the one of which you are speaking, please give us a direct, working link to it here.

Don’t bump threads please: this is a forum, not a phone answering service.

To add a Home link to the top nav menu you need to create a custom menu. See here:

Create a custom menu and add a custom linkHome” to it.

A custom menu allows you to display Categories with drop-downs to sub-categories in tabs along the horizontal navigation where normally only Pages tabs are displayed. If you wish you can also include Pages with drop-downs to sub-pages and/or Tags pages and/or Custom Links in your custom menu as well. You are in charge of what appears in a custom menu. You choose the order in which to display any and/or all the foregoing in your custom menu. You choose which to display and which to hide.

I can’t seem to create the submenus. How can I do this?

    Please see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#changing-the-order-of-menu-items-and-creating-sub-menus
You simply drag and drop and indent to create hierarchical structure.

Also note that because your are using the Dusk to Dawn which has no horizontal menu bar you need to use the custom menu widget to display your custom menu in the sidebar.

@TT: You don’t need to create a custom link: as my post explains, the Pages module includes a ready-to-use Home item. And you don’t need to use a Custom Menu widget in DtD: you select the menu in Theme Locations, as with all other themes that have top navigation.
