annual year in review for 2016 for my blog?
Thanks for your time and trouble in replying. I look forward to a new and improved year in review of my/our blogs.
Until then, the best to you and yours in 2017.
Mary Ann Niemczura
Perhaps for 2018?
I would like to add that I do, as well, miss the annual report.
Actually a lot as I made it a new years resolution last year to improve upon my annual report statistics. I would love if it maybe still could be done or if there’d be at least one next year.
All your site’s stats information is still available to you. See my reply here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/annual-year-in-review-for-2016-for-my-blog?replies=24#post-2827838
If you want to create your own Year in Review, The Daily Post has some suggestions here: https://dailypost.wordpress.com/2016/12/15/your-blogs-year-in-review/
As a small add.
I know I could do a summary of my own, based on my statistics. Though it wouldn’t look as nice as eg the annual report of 2015. And trying to find something other than Frisco cabs isn’t as fulfilling than getting something other than Frisco cabs. ^^;
(I managed to up my views from 3.500 to 17.200 ^_^)

I completely agree with you here, and we haven’t scrapped this for good. But when we bring it back it will probably work differently than before. We’re taking not of all this feedback to inform how we’ll be doing this in future, so thanks for your comments here.
Not impressed to know that WordPress team does this manually, instead of some cron job, really disappointed by skipping or discontinuing the Annual Report feature, I was eagerly waiting for it.
B.T.W I’ve created a customized post for myself by using the Stats, check here: https://sqlwithmanoj.com/2016/12/31/2016-blogging-in-review/
We definitely don’t process annual reports for over a million WordPress.com and Jetpack sites manually, but a lot of work still goes into them, both in terms of design and the jobs that compile the information. It’s not something that automatically happens at the push of a single button.
Folks, this thread appears to be glitching as it doesn’t want to create a second page for replies, so I’ve closed it. If anyone else have questions or feedback about the annual reports, please start a new thread and add the “modlook” tag and we’ll follow up there.

I would like suggestions on how to craft my own annual review for 2016. I can, of course, simply list facts, but adding video or photos would also be nice. Thanks.
It looks like whatever had caused this thread to not show the second page fixed itself, so I’ve reopened it.
I suggest you look at the Daily Post article @justjennifer linked to earlier:
Also have a look what @sqlwithmanoj did on his site. It might give you some ideas.
Aside from that, let your creativity run wild. You can copy the favourite comments you got from visitors to share them, and link back to those people’s blogs so they get some new readers as well. Feature your favourite images you uploaded through the year. You can really show that information any way you want :)
Thanks for all the super information. Now to get the time to let my creativity run wild. Great ideas for all of us. Happy blogging and best in 2017!
Wow. That was really sad news to me.
The only reason I’m still subscribed to the news letter is because of the annual report.
It felt kind of awkward that the only “annual report” I got emailed, was Automattic’s own one. Really rubs it in :(
The old annual report for 2015 is still up and running, so one would hope that they at least could reuse the same template with fresh exported data from 2016 instead.
Why you stop this annual Review?
So many people wait for it.
Yes, I also waited for the year in review and regretted it was not arriving.
The good thing is that it invites to be creative and produce the numbers and text myself!
Another WordPress opportunity!
And it is fun! Want to read it? In Dutch or to be translated with the button in the side bar. Welcome!

Thanks to all developers at WordPress. I am a truly grateful user and garden blog enthusiast.
Thanks for all the good information. Now to find the time. Much appreciated.
I was looking for my year in review, too. So sad. :( I always look forward to that. I really hope it comes back in time for next year!
