Any way to bring back a deleted subdomain?
I deleted my aloestudios.wordpress.com subdomain and I just realized I can no longer access my Stackoverflow.com account because it used that domain (such a newb)
The blog I need help with is fordinteractive.wordpress.com.
aloestudios.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled here and you can confirm by reading:
Contact staff directly and they can help you get things sorted out, but contact them quickly. Go to http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ click the “I didn’t find the answer” button, type in any question and click the “I still didn’t find the answer” and then you can type in your question for staff.
@thesacredpath I thought that’s what I did, but I ended up posting here… I’ll try again
@thesacredpath I just confirmed that following those steps only allows me to post to the forum (there’s a form with a big “Ask the Community for Support” button).
My biggest issue is getting access to my Stackoverflow account which Stackoverflow is helping me out with. So while it may or may not be possible to restore a deleted WordPress subdomain, I no longer have the need/reason to pursue restoring the subdomain.
I tagged this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.
I’m sorry, but deleted blogs cannot be restored or reused. Deleting a blog is permanent and the name cannot be used again. There are several warnings about this on the Tools -> Delete Site page and in the help pages, and you are required to confirm the deletion by email.
