API Key: Error Messages

    I have two API keys — one for wordpress.com and one for my self-hosted wordpress.org blog. I am trying to enter one of them (I tried both, neither worked) to the self-hosted blog so I can use wordpress.com stats. I continue to get error messages that the API key is owned by someone else, and to add that person to the access list. However, there are no directions on how to do that. The directions for API Keys here at wordpress.com don’t work — there is no place at the bottom of the page to add an email address. The API keys are both mine, so I don’t need to change an owner, I just want wordpress.com stats to work, since it’s so inherent in the wordpress.org dash if you want stats. I’d delete them if I could and use third-party plug-ins but of course that doesn’t work. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
