Appearance involuntarily changed
The theme of my blog was changed to the new Coraline, and not by me. The result is not only that it looks different than I had designed it but also that I have lost a good number of widgets. I’m faced with the task of recreating my design. Has anyone had this happen to them? And no, I am the only user, no one else has been given access.
The blog I need help with is soundtime.wordpress.com.
If any Sidebar Widgets disappeared after the theme switch they should be available at Appearance → Widgets in the Inactive Widgets pane. If they’re not, or if you need help setting up any of your widgets again, let us know and we’ll do what we can to help you out.
For more information, please read the Cutline to Coraline FAQs.
Let us know if you run into other issues. We’re happy to help.
Can you help me by pointing me to a provider (or self hosted option) that gets me back Cutline?
It’s really not debateable, since I am devastated that my carefully tuned design has been replaced by something amateurish and inferior.
I am not working today (thanks for the loss of income, WordPress: I am self-employed) and instead am moving the blog – the moment I see how to do it. Ideas?
@themeshapher; I do have other issues, brought up in the FAQs”
1. Header is centered, correctly, header picture is left justified, incorrectly. The combo shows correctly in the Appearance->Header options, but not on the blog itself. This screams BUG and screams FIX.
2. I keep having to make an HTML edit to my most recent post, and it updates and looks correct, then two minutes later the edit is gone and I have to do it again. Can’t prove that this is a Coraline bug, but since it never happened with Cutline, and now I have been so generously forced to take Coraline, I blame that as well. FIX.
